Our ‘O’ Level Oral Intensive builds confident conversationalists who are able to think on their feet to come up with fresh ideas and opinions and support them with sound and logical arguments.

At the Secondary level, many youths tend to be able to read aloud well. They should, after speaking English for most of their lives. However, not many of them stand out.

What is rare are students who do well in the Spoken Interaction section. As former secondary school teachers and experienced ‘O’ Level Oral testers, we have heard many bland and uninspiring replies from students. Even when we try to prompt for new ideas, they just give some tired ideas and look at us expectantly.

The ‘O’ Level Oral section requires students to be able to carry out a conversation in a stressful examination situation, giving fresh ideas and supporting them with sound and logical arguments.

During the 2-day‘ O’ Oral Level Intensive course, we will guide students on how to Read Aloud in standard good English, focusing on Pronunciation, Articulation, Intonation, Fluency and Clarity. In addition, we will give them exposure to passages with different topics to expand their general knowledge. This will help them to predict questions, brainstorm ideas and form opinions when they move on to the Spoken Interaction section. They will be able to formulate their answers using a proven template in order to master the ‘O’ Level Oral paper.
