Introduces concise extraction of key ideas from simple texts. Focuses on identifying main points, paraphrasing, and omitting redundancy through structured guidance. Builds foundational accuracy and clarity.

Students are introduced to narrative and factual texts to build essential reading skills. They practise retrieving information, making simple inferences, and identifying main ideas. Visual texts are included to develop multimodal literacy and deepen engagement with content.

Here we focus on building basic listening skills through simple audio texts. Students learn to identify key information, understand instructions, and make basic inferences, developing a strong auditory foundation.

Students build confidence in speaking clearly and purposefully. For Planned Response, they watch a video and deliver a two-minute speech with basic reasoning and personal examples. They learn to organise ideas and speak with clarity. In Spoken Interaction, they practise sharing opinions and responding to simple questions, with focus on articulation, eye contact, and active listening.
